But this modern shift makes your search for the best astrologer in Hubli more complicated. When you Google “famous astrologer in Hubli” or “best astrologer in Hubli Dharwad,” you’re likely to see paid listings and heavily marketed profiles — not necessarily the most genuine ones.
Still, don’t lose hope. Hubli has been home to some truly renowned astrologers whose work continues to inspire trust and faith even today.
A Personal Note from a Hubli Local
Being born and brought up in a semi-conservative family in Hubli, I’ve seen my grandparents and parents rely on astrology for everything from matchmaking and business decisions to selecting auspicious muhurats for new beginnings.
I was born in Divate Oni, near Kamaripeth — one of the oldest areas of Hubli. There lived one of the most respected astrologers in North Karnataka, known across Dharwad, Belagavi, and even Bengaluru.
1. Shri Vithalsa Baddi – The Renowned Astrologer from Hubli
Popularly known as Baddi Vithalsa, he was a highly respected astrologer from Tumkur Oni, near Kamaripeth Police Station, PB Road, Hubli. People from all over North Karnataka would visit him for astrology consultations, horoscope readings, and spiritual guidance.
It is said that Shri Vithalsa Baddi was deeply influenced by Sant Shri Shishunala Sharif, the 19th-century saint, poet, and philosopher known for his tatvapadas (spiritual poems). Shishunala Sharif’s teachings emphasized harmony between communities and the pursuit of truth — values that reflected in Vithalsa Baddi’s astrology practice as well.
Even today, his grandson continues this legacy at the same premises — opposite Shri Durga Temple in Tumkur Oni, Hubli. The seva remains true to its roots — no fixed fees, only voluntary donations. But do expect a little waiting time, especially on weekends. The seva remains closed on Wednesdays, and the average waiting time is around 1–2 hours due to high footfall.
