In a new development in the Chandrashekhar Guruji murder case, a fresh complaint has been lodged against the accused for allegedly threatening the family members of the late Vastu expert while in judicial custody. The case was filed at Vidyanagar Police Station in Hubballi.
Chandrashekhar Guruji, a well-known figure in the Vastu community, was tragically murdered on July 5, 2022, at the President Hotel near Unakal, Hubballi.
Two men, Mahantesh Shiruru and Manjunath Merewada, were arrested for the crime. Recently, the victim’s relative, Sanjay Angadi, accused the same individuals of issuing death threats to the family during a court appearance in February 2024.
According to Sanjay’s complaint, the accused men threatened him and his family, saying, “If you see me in court again, you will end up like Guruji.” They also suggested compromising the murder case through a third party, named as Suresh Palle.
Hubballi Police Commissioner N. Sasikumar confirmed that a fresh case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
Authorities are looking into the allegations, and the accused could face further questioning. The case is set to be presented to the court as investigations progress.
The family remains deeply distressed by the continued harassment, hoping for swift action and justice.
